Description
One Day Jazz Festival Bratislava is a project blending international jazz talents from all over the world since 2008. Built around the motto “In the name of humanism and tolerance,” the festival creates a space for cross-cultural collaborations through music. Over the years, it has hosted artists such as Hiromi, Richard Bona, Lizz Wright, Esperanza Spalding and many other influential musician of the global jazz scene.
I collaborated with the festival for three seasons as an assistant to the festival director, later leading the project as creative director. During this period, the festival presented internationally acclaimed artists including Noa, Shai Maestro, Chris Dave, Ben Williams, Marcus Strickland, Eric Marienthal, Justin Brown, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Lionel Loueke, bringing leading figures of the global jazz scene to Slovakia.
My role covered creative development, executive production, partnership building, international grant funding, business development, and shaping the overall artistic and strategic direction of the festival
